Dunno if the poster is legit, but the movie title and it being in Japan are real. I think it is supposed to be released sometime in 2013.

I just watched X-Men First class again.
What a great movie. Fassbender and McAvoy just kill it. |

One other thing about X-Men First class...
I think it makes X-men: Last Stand a much better movie. It drives a lot of those themes from that movie home. |

One of the things that bug me with Marvel is how often characters will change hero/villain names and costumes.
Pick one. Stick with it. You can tweak it, but largely leave it alone. You can't make them iconic if they are gonna continually change. |

What the fuck is that? Why?
Leave Captain Marvel alone. Have no idea why they repeatedly try and bring back Captain Marvel. It always sucks, and is nowhere near as good as the original. |

Hello gentlemen. Got the Marvel subscription service that I'm trying out for this month. Been reading like a madman. Catching up on all the Civil War stuff, trying to get into Black Panther, and and in the middle of New Avengers (2010).
You seem like experienced Marvel folk. What should I get started on? I'm open minded and will probably be into most things. |

If you want to laugh your ass off you should read the entire run to date of the deadpool comics that started in secret invasion

Nevermind Figs, I found the series that you're talking about to start from. Marvel digital subscription service has them all on there. Not all of them in the newest series, but all of the X-Force from the 2008-2010 series. Read the first book and I'm hooked already.

I have been catching up on my Marvel comics since I was waaay behind. Figured I'd catch up since I can't read DC right now out of anger.
I have not been impressed by X-Force. I can see how people would enjoy it, but it ain't my cup o' tea. I have read up to just before the "Second Coming" storyline. The best X-Title is definitely X-Factor. You should grab the "Madrox" miniseries, and then start reading X-Factor (v3?). They went to like issue 50 or something and then renumbered it to 200. |

Pretty much the opposite for me. Like you, I can see how people really like X-Factor, but outside of Batman, I've never been into detective stuff.
Love Black Ops stories and characters tho, so X-force is right up my alley. |

I like Uncanny X-Force more than X-Force (2008). XF 2008 was great, but Uncanny X-Force is much more entertaining.
Amazing Spider-Man has been great since Slott started his run in issue 648, I think. Hickman's Fantastic Four/Future Foundation is great. Brubaker's Captain America is usually always really good, especially the pre renumbered 600 arcs. |

Yeah, think I'm going to hit them both up. Doing Uncanny after I finish the 2008 run. Problem is, I have my attention between like 18 series right now. Almost caught up with the newest New Avengers series and then I might even start on Secret Avengers. I like the New Avengers alot actually because it has many of the characters that should be a big deal but aren't so much. Luke Cage is the unofficial leader and nobody in the government ever recognizes him or gives him respect. Also, Spiderman has some of the funniest stuff I've seen from him in awhile. They brought Strange in as well. Liking it.

Secret Avengers isn't quite as good as New, imo.
As good as the first x-force series is, uncanny is even better. |

I have just finished reading Seige. Gonna check out The Thanos Imperative now. And Realm of Kings before that, since I never read it.

Seige was crap imo. Thanos Imperative was great, but I'm a bit biased in that Thanos is one of my favorite characters.

Siege felt rushed. Like it started, a bunch of people die for seemingly no reason then it was over like that.

New Avengers has been pretty sexy lately with this Norman Osborn/ Dark Avengers arc. I know he already tried Dark Avengers once, but I can't help how fucking cool it is. It's also a little bit different cause he's got spies and such lurking around.
Gonna start FF probably today. Gotta pick up some things at the comic book store and after I finish those, gonna go into the Marvel catalog and have my way with FF. Don't know how more people don't have the Marvel digital subscription. It is pretty fucking boss, to be honest. They haven't configured their app for the subscription service yet, so that's a bit annoying that I can't use my subscription on my phone or tablet, but I'm content on my computer for now. Much easier than trying to pirate everything, it's at an affordable price, and I just feel better about paying for things in general. |

Marvel.com. I think it is like 8.99 a month or you can pay like $50 bucks for the year and it grants access to every digital comic they have online (Which is like over 10,000 at this point and they add more everyday). I think they may not give you access to comics that have been released in the last 2 or 3 months or something, but I don't mind that. I don't do it for the new stuff, I do it for all of the other series that would be difficult to obtain at this point. Pretty good deal IMO.
