While I still prefer the discs to Steam, you're not really giving up anything more either way you go. All the games on PC have a one time use CD key so you've lost your resale rights and everything right there, a lot of games won't even install.
I only really ever buy sale stuff from Steam as http://www.cdkeyhouse.commare a lot cheaper and http://www.greenmangaming.com is digital distribution done better than Steam (fucking trade-ins, man.) |

Needing a CD key and having to be connected to the internet just to play are two different things, though.

Right, but almost every game also needs that too, even if it's once every 3 months like EA's games and games that use Steamworks, or UbiSoft's approach that needs a constant internet connection. Some even need a constant online connection and the CD in the drive, which is just god awful.

As far as EA's games, prior to Origin, that only applied to online services, did it not? I ask mostly because there's a pretty big difference thurrr. |

That leaves Cell:Emergence and the Game of Thrones game if they both make it into September that are only unknown about requiring an internet connection. I've pretty much got most games installed twice, one cracked and one as is for online play. Last edited by #BROKEN Hasney; 08-28-2011 at 03:55 PM. |

Let's just ignore that the guy knows nothing about games for a second, but Wii's and Gamecube's don't have the con of plugging it into a TV and the Wii is the best even though it scored 9/10 and the Computer scored 10/10. Weird.

Fuck, don't want to lose my DS's style.
Also: "You can play on the internet" "You have to pay to get on the internet" lol And what does "big ones and small ones" mean for PS2? |

I'd assume he means regular ("fat") and slim for the PS2 big and small ones.
According to that scoring system, loosing the stylus on the DS is a bigger con than the PSP being expensive. |

According to the Halo Wiki, the "Reclaimer" nickname was one of Master Chief's nicknames in the original Halo game and could hint in him being heavily in the next storyline. Quote:

Take-Two and recent impressions from the upcoming NBA 2k12 game reveal how the studio is focusing a lot on presentation and the extra modes to ensure the game stays popular even if there is no NBA season this year.
Control and gameplay-wise, this year's version borrows heavily from 2k11 although with more tweaks and updates to both. The biggest addition is a new in-game play-calling system meant to be much faster and smoother. The commentary system has been redone to include interrupting lines for play calling to both reduce the problem of lines repeating too many times during a game and help give it more of a "real" feeling to a game. Quote:
Also revealed was depending on the classic matchup, the presentation changes to simulate how the game would look from that period of time. Quote:

The game is a port from the Sega Saturn original with the option to play the game in either the classic Saturn or HD-remake graphics. 3) Microsoft confirms the upcoming Xbox Live update for the Xbox 360 will include 3D-capability for users with 3Dtv sets for both upcoming 3D-enabled games, such as Gears 3 and Halo:CE Anniversary, and movies from Netflicks. |

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Take-Two involving alleged reports of the company mistreating their Quality Assurance testers with the biggest complaint being the lack of compensation for work done.
The lawsuit also claims the company paid lower than minimum wage while "forcing" the testers to work extra hours without compensating for the extra hours or lost break time. Also alleged is the company refusing to pay all the money that was owed for the contracted work before termination of the testers between a period of November 2006 and April 2007. As of now the courts are waiting to determine if enough people were involved in the dispute in order to officially hear the case as a class action lawsuit with an early court date of March 2012. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/8...o-interactive/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick News Round-Up: 1) Atlus reveals 2 new Persona games are in development with the PS Vita having an upgraded version of Persona 4 titled as "Persona 4 The Golden." The other Persona related title is a fighting game for the arcades, Xbox 360, and PS3 that will contain characters from Persona 3 & 4 and takes place after the events of Persona 4. 2) The huge sales success generated by Limbo from the studio of Playdead has enabled the studio to repurchase its shares and control back from investors. Originally the studio sold shares of the company to help fund their games but the success of their latest game allowed the studio to regain complete control again for future projects. 3) Sega announces they are working on a brand new gaming series meant to debut exclusively on the 3DS and is being titled as "Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure." The company is labeling the game as rhythm and puzzle based adventure (similar to Elite Bbeat Agents from Nintendo) with multiplayer and StreetPass modes included. |

It looks like the SS I downloaded from XBLA a year or two ago.
The whole "Bad guys charging at you from all angles" thing is cool for an XBLA game (I never played it before then) but I'm not sure it would be worth the price of a full disc game, assuming that's what this is. |
