According to the Observer, Impact Wrestling is running out of money again and have been late paying workers. Unlike previous times, the locker room is a lot more pissed off since its directly affecting their pay on the indies. They are giving up guaranteed and on-time pay checks since Impact is likely using that indies money for their own financial problems.

Very little in terms of star power and only going to get worse in upcoming months once the next wave of layoffs occur. For now, think its Eddie Edwards and John Morrison as big stars left outside of the Knockouts division.

Yeah. Completely forgot about him although don't think his current deal was for the long term and he's been open recently about wanting to go back to the WWE.
Edwards has been open about wanting to stay in Impact when his current deal expires though. |

Probably for the best that he does. If they don't have any real stars left, more money to throw at him. And he sure as hell doesn't have a bright future if he goes to WWE.

Almost 33 years ago the John Stossel 20/20 piece aired where Dr.D David Schultz slapped the piss out of Stossel. Here's the full segment.

Watching The Supertapes on WWE Network.
Not used to hearing Tony Schavonie and Lord Alfred Hayes commentating together. Honestly had zero idea He did Commentary for WWE back in the day. |

He was only there for a year and mentioned recently in an interview leaving was one of the biggest regrets of his career. He didn't really like working in WCW prior to the Monday Night Wars and had Jim Ross not left WCW, he might have went back to the WWE in the early 90s.

He says that, but I don't think he would have had the career in WWF he did in WCW. I think saying that is the historically revisionist "correct" answer.

Yeah his career would have been drastically different but he has been open over the years about not really liking his time in WCW after going back. Left him with a sour experience and played a big role why he pretty much left the industry after WCW folded.

Tony had gotten so bad that I doubt he would have gotten another position anyways.

Watching Halloween Havoc '97 MST3K style with Tony Schiavone's What Happened When podcast. Greatest "oblivious referee" moment I've ever seen happens at the end of the Steve McMichael vs Alex Wright match.
Debra gets on the apron to distract the ref, Charles Robinson. Goldberg gets in the ring and spears Mongo and his head comes about a foot from hitting the ref's leg. Debra decides to step down off the apron at that moment and the ref starts to turn around but practically turns face to face with Goldberg who now has Mongo up for the jackhammer. Ref turns back to Debra and starts scolding her again while she's standing on the outside now. After the jackhammer, he starts to turn back around but Goldberg is still in the ring picking up Alex Wright to put him on Mongo and the ref sees this and quickly turns around AGAIN to keep talking to Debra who has been off the apron for quite a while now. It's seriously the worst clueless ref moment ever. lol |

Good for her. She's doing her Evil Emma gimmick by the looks of it. Her shirt looks like someone from the WWE's. Maybe Paige?

Apparently in 1997 WCW not only introduced a WCW Women's Title but also a WCW Women's Cruiserweight title which seems wildly unnecessary.
