Probably the first MCU movie I've been looking forward to since Endgame.

Movie was v funny. Played out pretty much exactly how literally everybody expected it to: Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds, Wolverine being the curmudgeonly foil to Deadpool's nonstop chatter, pretty paper-thin plot, a bunch of 4th-wall breaking, tons and tons of gratuitous violence and language, and some neat cameos and callbacks. I read one negative review about the movie that said something like "it trades heart for cheap laughs" and my dog if you're going into a Deadpool movie for heart you're going to be disappointed 10/10 times.
Incidentally enough, on the "heart" meter it did feel like a bit of a love letter to the early Fox superhero movies which for better or worse kind of encapsulated that early 2000's vibe. Movie does strike me as one that probably won't warrant a whole lot of rewatches though. |

So T.J. Miller isn’t in it?
Did they replace him with Ezra Miller? |

I’m annoyed because that joke looks like a Surname joke rather than a bitch-choking joke.

I just came back from seeing the film. I enjoyed it, especially the scenes between Deadpool and Wolverine.
I do feel, however, that the Deadpool formula has become somewhat stale. I think Deadpool would be best used in the future as part of an ensemble or accompanying another main character, like what they did with Black Widow in Iron Man 2, Winter Soldier, etc. |

I dont feel this film followed the formula of the 1st 2 films at all. Now if you mean the humor then perhaps but structurally its the marvel formula at play here
