Show will likely be good. Haven’t been watching Raw or NXT. Usually catch Smackers. It’s about as good as any wrestling show can get in modern times.
Everything is very polished these days. I appreciate that they don’t hot-shot as wildly anymore and their business has been doing amazing with all these slow-burns, but I’m nostalgic for shows that have a bit more kinetic energy. Now every match is like this set piece. And almost everything is for a championship. |

I think it looks like a solid card. This will be a great show.

It does need a little more Chad Gable.

I could see Gunther winning being the main event.

Some haters in this thread! Guess there is not enough random matches with people from CMLL or NJPW that most people have never heard of

Naomichi Marufuji will be doing special guest commentary in the Japanese booth. Is that arcane enough?
My favorite thing about the latest WWE crossovers is how they’ve buried the false narrative that working with WWE = bad. Dave still tries it. He started to admit the AEW/TNA partnership was a bad one, then talked himself into “Well actually WWE put its talent over so it’s not good.” Even though he doesn’t complain when AEW wrestlers go over CMLL or New Japan ones. Smeat would try the “Well actually working with WWE is bad” thing too. It’s just a cynical online take enabling smarks to feel smug about their criticisms of the company. Apparently Tony now gets crusty and talks about vignettes whenever he has an outside talent coming in. Because explaining who the characters on your show are isn’t TV 101. |

I’m not even sure Gunther is winning. I hope he is and I think it would be the right call, but they seemed to be going hard with babyface Priest the other week (it was awful).
I’d be shocked if anything other than Cody/Solo is the main event. |

Good show.
* I called the false finish in Liv/Rhea with Dom accidentally costing Rhea. I thought she’d go on to win the belt though. Like that they pulled the trigger with Liv and Dom. He’s so great. * Bron Breakker looked a little sloppy out there. Not horrible, but I think it was his first stadium show. Glad he won the IC Title. Something about him and the belt seem like a good fit. * LA Knight and Logan Paul are fantastic. Logan’s stuff with the announce table was easily the worst thing he’s done since being in WWE. He’s usually spot on as a worker. The superplex spot was scary. Logan is perfect for wrestling. * Bayley’s powerbomb impressed me. She’s always a solid performer. I’m just not really into that division. It needs a bit of life. * CM Punk has made people care about a friendship bracelet. He is a master. * Gunther is excellent. Damian Priest came alive as a babyface. I care more about Priest and Balor than I did. Glad Gunther won. * Also called Miz and R-Truth beating up Austin Theory & Grayson Waller. * Main event was fun. Solo is solid. Tonga Loa…man, what is going on with that guy? Jacob Fatu is incredible. I hope he was just selling his leg and isn’t really hurt. It’s important to me that he sticks around to destroy people. Roman getting that pop…good for him. The ending visual was what you wanted — the two biggest faces standing tall with a nod of respect. |

I don’t know how Triple H can keep the follow-up PPVs to these shows to 5 matches. Coming out of this show you’ve got a bunch a stuff already set for Bash in Berlin.

Hell yeah Gunther. Right where he should be.
Now... line em up so he can knock them all down. He's the best and most believable champ in quite some time. Now would be prime for Lesnar to return, but also lose to Gunther. Those two could mix it up and it'd be a helluva fight. |

Brock returning to challenge Gunther in Berlin was low-hanging fruit. If they bring him back they might put him in something he can win though.

Absolutely inhuman amount of advertising, people must be like boiled frogs being able to watch this.
Every match is now Ciampa vs Gargano. That friendship bracelet saga is possibly the stupidest thing I've seen in wrestling. Like I've not enjoyed the WWE style at all in a long time but they really surpassed themselves here. |

So they’re doing Gunther vs. Orton in Berlin. That should be a strong match.
