Rate the last movie that you saw for the first time.
Whether it be on DVD or in theatres. Out of 5.
If you see another one you've never seen before you can come back and rate it. World Trade Center - 5/5 Last edited by thedamndest; 05-31-2010 at 02:05 PM. |

I watched Jesus Camp recently, really enjoyed it too. For those who don't know it was a documentary on the rise of Evangelical Christianity in America. It was a little one sided, but I don't think it was manipulation on the part of the filmmakers, they just let the footage speak for itself. I found some of it to be a little disturbing, stuff that could constitute as child abuse. There was a particularly troubling part, where greasy Ted Haggard looks to the camera and says "If the evangelicals vote, they determine the election." Thank my God he was caught with young, male, prostitutes.

Fuck out of 5. 10 is more definitive. But I expect an out of 5 for someone who gives World Trade Center a perfect core. Fucking terrible.

Speaking of WTC, anyone see United 93. Cause I did and hated it. As a movie it was a bore, nothing but people talking on their phones. I cared about none of the characters because the movie didn't make me want to care about them. |

Anyway: Waiting - 3.5/5 I think it got too hyped up for me. Pretty funny and a good job of capturing the mystique of working in a restaurant, but the driving storyline was fairly weak and predictable. Still a good viewing, though. |

I liked that movie. The ending was a little confusing and unclear but I'd like to think that he will unknowingly bring down that corporation with that flower.

World Trade Center - 4/5. Wanted to wait until all the five year anniversary hoopla died down. I would have liked it better if a lesser known actor had played Nic Cage's role; he kept me from getting into because whenever it got intense I would be like "That's Nic Cage..."

4.2/5 I thought the movie ran a little long, but the end excited me to get me ready for the 3rd and final movie. |

FUCKING AWFUL. Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher must have had a running bet during shooting to see who could overact and create the most unintentionally hilarious scenes in this 1.5 hour crap fest. Fuck Kutcher; he needs to go back to playing a dumb shit, since it's clearly what he does best. And Costner? Your days of fielding dreams and dancing wolves are over. Go swim in your money pit like a good actor, and leave us the fuck alone. |

The Departed - 8.5/10
Would have been 9 if I hadn't seen Infernal Affairs many years earlier. Andy Lau I think was the better in the role of the police mole but Leo was the better of the gang mole. |
