Yup. I'm back. I felt the spirit of reinvigoration flow through me and I was enticed to get back to this sucker. Plus, the two forums seem to be running well, with the OG boards not sucking as hard as they once were a while back.

Now, you may be looking at that thread title and you're asking yourself, "Week 180? The last one you did was Week 178? What's the deal?" Well, in appreciation for Big Vic showing some initiative in doing his own edition to cover the 179th week, on top of me not yet replacing the games that didn't end up getting onto the leaderboard due to lack of votes, I have decided to allow Among Us into our fold and have it commemorated on our list.




A lot has happened in these past few weeks. One of them being a new situation going on in the top ten, what with Super Mario Galaxy scoring incredibly high, occupying the number 4 spot and ensuring that PunchOut! gets kicked out of the elite standing. Well, we've got more to come and I'm glad to be able to come back and do this again in order to finish it all off. What's next for us? We go to the bowl!

Well, would you fancy that? Outside of Among Us, this is probably the most recently released title we've looked at so far. But it was a major one for a long time, being a strong presence in the online competitive multiplayer space. It's team warfare at its finest (perhaps?) with Activision/Blizzard's Overwatch! Whether it's blinking with Tracer or gawking at D.Va, this game carved out a place in gaming history. How did it fare in your opinion? Let's back to it with the poll and discussing and all that good stuff as we (hopefully) keep this train going. Until next week!

Overwatch 1 was great. The shittiest part is the toxic, try-hard community.

Overwatch was amazing for the first like 6 months before said toxic community made it unfun

Playing Winston and diving backliners was some of the most fun I've had in a game in a long time. When you got your ult and would knock people off the map, that was so satisfying.

Never played it.

I did own it for a while via it being installed on the Xbox One I bought off from my sister and her boyfriend when they got rid of it to make space for the Series X and PS5. I kept the game on it for whenever my nephew would come over during the weekends to play some games before he moved on to Overwatch 2 and other games.

Ton of good characters and its objectively mechanically well made but i couldnt care less about the genre.

It always looked interesting and fun, but I just never got around to it. I think I had my fill of online competitive shooters at that point.

Like many team-based online games, if you have a solid group of friends you're shooting the shit with in Discord and not taking it too seriously, it's a whole lot of fun. I wouldn't put it in the same tier of MOBAs for toxicity, but I still cannot imagine ever willingly joining voice comms for an OW match with randoms.
