Rate the Game: Week 198
OK, I'm back. Or, we're back. Whatever you prefer. We are oh-so close to the finale of this sucker and oh-so close to the end of the year. We might as well get to it and wrap this up as quickly as possible. Because of multiple delays, including the absence last week, we're working overtime to get up to speed. Thus, not only am I doing a redo edition in order to make up for Legend of Legaia not making it on our leaderboard, but I'm doing two more games on top of that. Be sure to check out those other threads and offer your insights there. But there are two games that WILL make our leaderboard. Those being 2016's edition of Doom and the NES classic Kid Icarus.
But what's next? I'd say the bowl will tell us, but seeing as we're down to the final four, I'd say we don't really need to stand on ceremony. Let's take a look.... And here we go. You know, Naughty Dog wasn't always known for the misadventures of Nathan Drake. No, sir, they were known for weird animals in bizarre worlds and Way of the Warrior. Uh, but this game leans more towards the former. It's not Crash, but it's an experience nonetheless. It's the first installment in one of the Playstation's well-known series, Jak and Dakter: The Precursor Legacy! Was this the precursor to something incredible while also being incredible on its own? That's for you to decide. Let's hear what you have to say and we'll see you in the finale. No matter what may happen to me, just remember Lzzy Hale gave me the bedroom eyes... ...again. |

Never played it.
Think the most I ever played of this series was a demo for a game on the PS2 but might also be mixing it up with the Ratchet & Clark series. |
